Halloween 2010

In Okinawa, the Japanese do not celebrate Halloween, although the Japanese people are invited on base for trick or treating. Since we don't live on base, we weren't sure what we were going to do about trick or treating, this year. Luckily, our branch came to the rescue with a Fall Carnival and a Trunk or Treat on Friday night. Here are some pictures:

Whenever I tried to get this belt on Carston before the party, he'd scream. I had to get it on during the party while he was distracted with the goings on.

Cassie was eating a popcorn ball, and she felt like she had a kernel in her mouth, so she went over to the grate to spit it out. Then she realized she had lost a molar, and it was a tooth she spit out!
Lucky for her, the toothfairy has a tooth magnet, and was able to fish the tooth out of the storm drain overnight. She left her some gum and some money by the grate, and we picked it up the next day!
